Mark Stoleson

Mark Stoleson is Chief Executive Officer of Legatum, and has served with the firm for over 7 years in various capacities including Head of Group Investments. Prior to Legatum, he was a corporate finance and M&A attorney with Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld in Moscow, Russia and Dallas, Texas. He earned a BA in International Relations from Occidental College and a JD-LLM from Duke University School of Law.
Alan McCormick
Managing Director
Alan McCormick is a Managing Director at Legatum with a wide range of management responsibilities, including business development and corporate strategy, with a particular focus on the group's social investment portfolio. Mr McCormick was formerly a Vice President of Marketing for JP Morgan. He graduated from Queen Mary College, University of London with a BA in Politics and History.
Philip Vassiliou
Managing Director
Philip Vassiliou is a Managing Director at Legatum, primarily responsible for the Legatum Ventures portfolio and oversight of Legatum’s capital markets activities. Mr Vassiliou previously worked for the Dubai Development Investment Authority, promoting foreign direct investment, and in the Equities & Private Wealth divisions of Goldman Sachs in New York and London. Mr Vassiliou is a graduate of Babson College.
Rob Vickers
Senior Vice President - Legal
Rob Vickers is Senior Vice President – Legal of Legatum, with broad responsibility for legal matters across the Legatum Group. Prior to joining Legatum in 2011, Mr Vickers was a general corporate attorney in the London and Dubai offices of an international law firm, with a focus on private equity, corporate restructurings and public and private M&A. He studied law at King’s College, London and the College of Law and is a member of the Law Society of England & Wales.
Paul Sheriff
Chief Financial Officer
Paul Sheriff is Chief Financial Officer at Legatum. Prior to joining the firm, he was CFO/COO of Record plc, having previously been Group Finance Director at Arbuthnot Banking Group plc and Commercial Finance Director of the Prudential's UK and European Business. He also spent five years in private equity and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Arthur Andersen. He studied engineering at Aston University, Birmingham and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
